Bhubaneswar, Nov. 28 -- The Odisha government has initiated a state-wide drive to clear encroachments from college land, informed Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.

Speaking on the issue, the Minister stated that several colleges across the state, including institutions in Bhadrak, continue to face encroachment challenges. He noted that reclaiming these lands is essential for improving the academic environment and ensuring that educational institutions function without external disturbances.

Referring specifically to Bhadrak Women's College, the Minister said, "Earlier, many antisocial elements used to roam freely in Bhadrak Women's College. After the present government assumed office, such activities were curbed."
