Bhubaneswar, Dec. 2 -- The Odisha government issued show-cause notices to four private hospitals for alleged lapses in providing cashless treatment services and for complaints of exorbitant billing. The information was shared by Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling in a written reply during the Assembly session on Monday.

The Minister was responding to a question raised by MLA Arabinda Mohapatra, who sought clarification from the government on complaints about private hospitals denying cashless medical services and overcharging patients. In his reply, Mahaling confirmed that action had been initiated based on verified grievances.
