Bhubaneswar, Feb. 17 -- The Odisha government has ramped up its efforts against corruption, initiating legal proceedings against 50 officials over the past eight months. The Vigilance department has taken action against these 50 individuals on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said in a written statement in Odisha Assembly on Monday.As part of the initiative, a total of Rs 117 crore in assets has been confiscated. Additionally, jewellery and real estate valued at over Rs 4 crore have been seized from 11 officials, including various properties and plots.
