Bhubaneswar, Feb. 4 -- A Group D government employee was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district on Wednesday, triggering allegations of workplace harassment by senior officials.

The deceased has been identified as Nihar Mahanti, a resident of Saharpur village in Kendrapara district. His body was recovered from the office premises of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). He was found hanging with a rope early in the morning and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.
