Bhubaneswar, Feb. 9 -- In a move to further promote electric mobility, the Odisha government on Monday extended the deadline for state government employees to avail interest-free advances for purchasing electric vehicles (EVs) till February 28, the Finance Department announced.

The extension applies across Odisha and has been granted to align with the extended validity of the Odisha Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021, which is now in force until March 31, 2026.

The move aims to encourage wider adoption of electric mobility by easing the financial burden on employees through interest-free assistance.
