In a major development, vacant teaching posts across various universities in the State will soon be filled under the New Odisha University Amendment Act, informed Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Tuesday. A total of 1,353 teaching posts are currently lying vacant in different state-run universities.

To address the issue, Minister Suraj held a high-level meeting with the Vice Chancellors of all universities and directed them to submit detailed proposals for recruitment at the earliest.
