The sacred Mahaprasad of Lord Jagannath in Puri cannot be sold online, as its sanctity is entirely unique, informed Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Monday
According to Minister Harichandan, certain organizations had requested the temple administration to consider delivering either dry bhog or Mahaprasad to distant locations through online service.
However, both Odisha government and Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) have refused consent, citing concerns over maintaining its sanctity.
