In a major relief to farmers, the Odisha government has announced that farmers will no longer be required to produce ancestral or genealogy certificates for registration under the Kharif Marketing Season (KMS) 2025-26. Instead, they can now complete their registration process through a simple self-declaration form.
The Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department issued an official notification on August 16, directing all district Collectors to implement the new system.
