Bhubaneswar, Aug. 15 -- Odisha on Sunday reported 1058 new Covid cases but the detection of infection in as many as 138 children has emerged as a serious concern ahead of the possible third wave of the pandemic.

As per the data shared by the State Health Department, the virus cases in children less than 18 years of age accounted for more than 13 per cent of the total cases on August 14, 2021.

However, Odisha Health Director Bijay Mohapatra has assured that there is no need to press the panic button.
