Bhubaneswar, Dec. 7 -- A minor girl from Rajgangpur suffered severe burns late at night, a day before yesterday, and is in critical condition, prompting the Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling to visit her at Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Sundargarh district on Sunday.

The Minister stated that if necessary, the critically injured girl may be shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar or New Delhi for advanced treatment.

According to sources, the minor girl has suffered severe burns after allegedly attempting to die by suicide by setting herself on fire. Health Minister Mahaling evaluated her health status.
