Odisha Fixes Hiring Charges For Ambulance Services, Issues Warning

Bhubaneswar, May 17 -- Bhubaneswar: In view of the unprecedented second surge of Covid-19, Odisha Transports Department has fixed hiring charges of various types of ambulances operated by private hospitals and private operators in the State.
According to the notification issued by the transport department on Monday, small category of ambulances like Maruti Omni, Tata Magic and Maruti Eco etc. will charge Rs 750 up to 10 kilometres of distance. Similarly small ambulances with basic life support facilities will charge Rs 1,000 up to the same distance. These categories of ambulances will charge Rs 30 per additional kilometres exceeding 10 kilometres.
