Bhubaneswar, Nov. 6 -- Odisha has begun to experience the first touch of winter, especially the hilly district of Koraput, marking a seasonal shift in southern parts of the state. Until recently, only a mild chill was felt during the early mornings and late evenings, especially before the cyclone alert.
However, over the past two days, temperatures have dropped further, accompanied by dense morning fog in several areas, including Narayanpatna, Laxmipur, and Semiliguda.
With the cold winds sweeping through the valleys, locals have started pulling out their sweaters and shawls. Early risers can be seen gathering at roadside tea stalls, seeking warmth from steaming cups of tea.
