Bhubaneswar, Sept. 25 -- Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to witness big surge in COVID-19 cases as the State detected 4208 new positives in the last 24 hours, taking the total count of coronavirus infections to 201096. Of the fresh cases, 2462 patients are in quarantine, while 1746 are local contact cases, informed State I&PR department.

The death toll has mounted to 767 as 15 more patients succumbed to the virus on during the period.

Four patients have succumbed to the disease in Bhubaneswar, while three deaths were reported in Puri district, two in Mayurbhanj and one each in Cuttack, Angul, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, and Rayagada districts.
