Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Friday laid the foundation stone for a new medical college and hospital in Nabarangpur district, marking a significant step toward strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the region.

The upcoming medical institution will be developed at Patalguda on more than 50 acres of land. Once completed, the facility will have a capacity of 420 beds and offer 100 MBBS seats.

Addressing the gathering, the Odisha CM said the project will ensure that residents no longer need to travel outside the district for advanced medical treatment.
