Bhubaneswar, Jan. 11 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi laid the foundation stone on Sunday for an ambitious mega water supply project, aimed at ensuring continuous access to safe drinking water. After completion, the residents of Sambalpur will receive a round-the-clock (24x7) supply of purified drinking water with this water infrastructure project in the city.
The project will be implemented at an estimated cost of Rs 451.24 crore. As part of the initiative, nearly 340 kilometres of water pipelines will be laid across Sambalpur city to strengthen the distribution network and ensure a uniform water supply.
Once completed, the project is expected to supply around 100 million litres of pure drinking water per day, addressing the city's...
