Odisha Capital Hospital referring Acute Diarrhoeal case to SCB a blow to 5T!
Bhubaneswar, Feb. 12 -- Bhubaneswar: The death of a five-year old child due to acute diarrhoeal disease on Tuesday in the Capital city has raised many eyebrows.
The data with State Health Department shows a high of 1.33 lakh children in the age-group of 0-5 years have been detected to be afflicted with Acute Diarrhoeal Disease in the State during the period April - January 2019-20.
The data further shows Odisha recorded 6 lakh acute diarrhoeal cases in 2018, including over 1.5 lakh children in the age-group of 0-5 years. The State figured among the top - 10 states recording maximum diarrhoeal cases in the country in 2018.
