Bhubaneswar, Jan. 31 -- In a major boost to cultural preservation and industrial growth, the Odisha Cabinet on Saturday cleared multiple proposals aimed at strengthening Odia heritage while positioning the state as a hub for advanced manufacturing.

During the meeting, 12 proposals were approved from 10 different departments. The Cabinet approved the Odisha State Cooperative Policy-2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening cooperative institutions and improving their functioning across the state.

A sum of Rs 362 crore has been sanctioned for the Water Resources Department to develop a diversion system, aimed at improving water management and irrigation infrastructure.
