India, Feb. 8 -- In a major decision, the Odisha Cabinet has approved 11 projects including three projects which will be implemented under Dam Rehabilitation & Improvement Project-III.
The DRIP III will be implemented at an estimated cost of Rs 1066.38 crore over a period of 6 years and will be implemented with assistance from World Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) funded under Externally Aided Project.
Sharing details, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Saturday informed that additional spillway of Hirakud dam will be constructed. This will ensure safe passage of additional flood water.
