Bhubaneswar, Oct. 29 -- In a heart-warming tale that seems straight out of a movie, an Indian-origin woman settled in the United States returned to her birthplace after 26 years to celebrate a deeply emotional milestone.
Sudhanya Tan, who was adopted by an American couple as a child, celebrated her first wedding anniversary at Basundhara Orphanage in Cuttack, the same place that sheltered her as an infant.
Sudhanya was left at the Basundhara Orphanage in 1994 when she was just 10 months old. Five years later, in 1999, she was adopted by a couple from Carolina, USA, and her life changed completely.
