Bhubaneswar, Dec. 9 -- The Odisha Legislative Assembly's winter session came to an end ahead of schedule, marking the closure of proceedings that were expected to run much longer. Out of the total 29 designated working days, the House witnessed active business on only 11 days.
Despite the shortened duration, significant financial business was transacted. The most notable development was the passage of the Additional Expenditure Appropriation Bill worth Rs 17,440 crore. The approval ensures that the essential spending requirements of the state government are met for the ongoing financial year.
