Bhubaneswar, Nov. 27 -- The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly commenced on Thursday with an obituary reference to former members of the House.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi moved the condolence motion, and the Assembly observed a one-minute silence in their memory.

Following the tribute, the House was adjourned till 4 PM.

On the second day of the session, the state government is expected to present the Supplementary Budget. The winter sitting will continue till December 3, comprising a total of 29 working days.
