Bhubaneswar, Nov. 22 -- The Odisha Assembly was adjourned for the second time for 45 minutes following a protest by the Opposition over the issue pertaining to the scheduled tribes (ST) and the transfer of their lands to non-tribals in Odisha.

To address the stalemate, Odisha Assembly speaker Pramila Mallik called for an all-party meeting.

Earlier today, the house was adjourned till 12 pm following the protest by the Opposition parties immediately after the proceedings began in the morning.

Opposition MLAs from Congress and BJP raised slogans against the State government and demanded the Odisha cabinet to re-evaluate the bill regarding the transfer of tribal lands.
