The Odisha government on Saturday announced the formation of a new battalion within the Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF), a move poised to enhance the state's industrial security capabilities.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has given his approval in this regard.
This new formation will lead to the establishment of 1,040 additional posts, bolstering the total strength of the OISF. Previously, the force operated with a single battalion comprising 1,807 personnel.
