India, March 6 -- The state government is stepping up efforts to implement the new Town Planning (TP) Scheme, designed to reform urban land development. Under this initiative, the government plans to develop land in a 60-40 proportion, aligning with the land it acquires, and ultimately distribute it to the public.

"The absence of similar schemes has forced people to reluctantly part with their lands in the past. This new scheme aims to assist individuals in building new homes more efficiently," informed Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Krushna Chandra Mohapatra.

He has assured that the implementation of the Town Planning (TP) scheme will proceed without delay.
