Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- Vigilance sleuths seized unaccounted cash of Rs 2.77 lakh from Nuapada Chief District Veterinary Officer (CDVO) Trilochan Dhala on Sunday and later conducted simultaneous raids at his office, residence and official quarters.

According to sources, Dhala was under the vigilance scanner for the past few days for his alleged corrupt activities. Officials of the anti-corruption wing intercepted his office vehicle near Tarini temple in Nuapada when he was on way to his village at Naraj in Cuttack district.

"During the search, we recovered Rs 2.77 lakh from his possession. However, during inquiry, Dhala could not give any satisfactory reply and failed to explain the legitimate source of the money," said a vigilance offic...
