Bhubaneswar, July 26 -- Even as speculations are rife on the possible outbreak of a third wave of Covid-19 in the country in the next 6-8 weeks, the Director, Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) in Odisha, CBK Mohanty, on Monday sought to allay fears by saying there has been no such sign in the State so far.

"There has been no sign of the third wave of Coronavirus at present as the trajectory of Covid-19 cases is down and stable in the State. We are not sure on the timing of the outbreak of third wave. Therefore, any prediction on its severity and effect is just speculation," said Mohanty.
