No respite from heat as day temperature to rise further by 3-4 degree Celsius in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, March 5 -- The daytime temperature in Odisha is likely to go up by two to three degree Celsius than normal temperature in the coming four to five days, predicted the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
At a time when people across the state are experiencing intense heat wave conditions, the IMD's announcement has left them worried.
On Sunday, eight cities recorded a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius and above. Both Sambalpur and Talcher recorded the highest day temperature at 38.6 degrees Celsius. Similarly, the daytime mercury soared above 38 degrees Celsius in Bhubaneswar.In 14 other cities, the day temperature was above 37 degrees Celsius.
