Bhubaneswar, March 19 -- In a bid to curb traffic violators, particularly red-light jumpers, the Bhubaneswar Traffic Police has launched a special drive to act tough on them.

From now on, commuters jumping any traffic signal in the Smart City will not only lose their driving license for three months, but also get forwarded to court.

Speaking about the drive, Bhubaneswar Traffic DCP PK Rout said, "We are conducting this drive at AG square, Laxmisagar square, Jaydev Vihar square and Khandagiri square in the first phase. Our focus in this drive is on red-light jumpers."
