The Odisha government on Saturday clarified that there is currently no flood situation in the state, and all major rivers are flowing below the danger level. Authorities have urged the public not to panic as water levels are being continuously monitored and controlled.
According to official sources, although the water level in Hirakud reservoir has shown a gradual rise, it does not pose an alarming situation at present. There is no indication of a potential flood, and all relevant departments are on alert. Importantly, no decision has been made yet to open the gates of Hirakud or Rengali dams specifically due to flood concerns.
