In a significant laurel, The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has secured a place in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2025, marking its debut among Asia's top 200 institutions.
It is now the 12th-highest-ranked Indian university and the only NIT in the country to feature in this prestigious list. Placed 191st, the institute also ranks among the top twenty in the country. In overall metrics, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, topped the list this year, with its global rank of 38.
