Bhubaneswar, May 22 -- Bhubaneswar: Covid-19 positive cases and number of fatalities graphs are on the rise in Odisha. However, a top health expert in the State said that the present trend will take a nosedive from the first week of next month.

"Now the situation in the State is not much serious and it will continue till the end of May. The daily infections may witness a downward trend from June first week onwards," said Director of Capital Hospital, Dr Laxmidhar Sahoo.

Sahoo further predicted that the single day cases will further dip from June first week as people are adhering to the lockdown guidelines enforced by the State government.
