A new Passenger Halt at Taraboi, located between Khordha Road and Khordha Town railway stations on the ongoing Khurda Road-Balangir Rail Line, was inaugurated on Wednesday.
According to sources, the halt will particularly serve students and faculty of IIT Bhubaneswar, NISER and other reputed educational institutions in the region.
With four pairs of trains halting here, the convenience of daily commuters is expected to increase significantly. Besides, the new stoppage will enhance access to healthcare facilities, improve connectivity for surrounding villages and promote tourism to historic places such as Barunei Hills, Khordha...
