Bhubaneswar, Dec. 24 -- In a major move to strengthen examination security, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will introduce facial recognition-based identity verification for the NEET and JEE examinations from 2026, officials announced.
The decision follows a successful pilot of Aadhaar-based face authentication technology conducted during NEET 2025 at select examination centres in Delhi. The technology was deployed to prevent impersonation and ensure that only genuine candidates appear for the tests.
