Mumbai Police went on high alert after a threat message surfaced on the traffic police WhatsApp helpline, claiming that 14 terrorists entered the city with 400 kilograms of RDX. The message further alleged that explosives were planted in 34 vehicles across the city.

The threat comes just ahead of Anant Chaturthi, the grand finale of the Ganesh festival, when lakhs of devotees throng Mumbai's streets for idol immersions.
