Bhubaneswar, Dec. 28 -- A moving car was completely gutted after it caught mid-way on the road near Panasapada petrol pump under Brahmagiri police limits in Puri district on Sunday, triggering panic in the area.

The incident occurred while the vehicle was in motion, but all five occupants, including the driver, managed to escape in time, narrowly avoiding a major tragedy.

According to sources, the car suddenly caught fire and was soon engulfed in flames. Sensing danger, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle, and all five passengers rushed out and ran to safety. Preliminary suspicion points towards a possible CNG leakage or a cylinder malfunction as the cause of the fire, though an official confirmation is awaited.
