Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- Odisha has received around 25% surplus rainfall till June 17, the Regional Meteorological Department of the IMD informed on Wednesday.

Between June 1st and 17th, the State has recorded 118.9 mm of rainfall as compared to the long term average making it around 27% excess, the Director of the IMD centre, HR Biswas said.

As many as 13 districts in the State have recorded 20% or more excess rainfall during the period. As per the Met department data, 8 districts have seen an excess of 60% or more rainfall with Koraput having the large excess monsoon seasonal rainfall of 194.2 mm.
