Bhubaneswar, Jan. 11 -- Team India veteran pacer Mohammed Shami is currently grappling with injury and he is out of the Indian team. He is awaiting a fitness clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) as he was recovering from his injury.

With BCCI likely to delay the squad announcement for Champions Trophy 2025 and the ODI series against England by a week, there is some good news for Shami.

As per reports, the veteran pacer is all likely to receive clearance from the Sports Science wing of the BCCI's Centre of Excellence. He is expected to feature in both the ODI series against England and in the Champions Trophy 2025. However, it is highly unlikely that he will be included in the side for the T20Is against England.
