Following a ragging complaint at the MKCG Medical College and hospital, Berhampur, two house surgeons were fined Rs 25,000 each on Monday. The decision was made during an Anti-Ragging Committee meeting after a thorough inquiry into the May 12 incident.

According to sources, the medical college authorities have taken disciplinary action against two house surgeons for their involvement in a ragging incident that occurred on May 12. Based on a complaint filed by a fourth-year MBBS student, both individuals were found guilty of misconduct and were accordingly penalised.
