Bhubaneswar, Dec. 11 -- A male nursing student was found dead under mysterious circumstances near an electric transformer in Sambalpur last night. According to initial information, the youth was studying at a private nursing institute in the district, police sources said on Thursday.

The deceased, identified as Lokesh Tudu from Mayurbhanj, had reportedly been missing from the nursing college for nearly the past two days.

After receiving information from some locals, Sadar police reached the spot and recovered the body. Preliminary suspicion suggests that the student's hand might have been burned due to contact with an electric wire near the transformer.
