Bhubaneswar, Jan. 29 -- A major burglary was reported on Wednesday from Kamakshanagar in Odisha's Dhenkanal district, where miscreants looted large quantity of gold, silver, and cash, triggering panic in the area.
The theft took place at the residence of Gopal Chandra Malla, situated near the Anantapur Ram Temple.
According to reports, the incident occurred while Gopal Chandra Malla had travelled to Bhubaneswar for medical treatment.
Taking advantage of the house being vacant, the miscreants forcibly broke into the house. The burglars allegedly made away with around 700 grams of gold, 500 grams of silver, and cash amounting to Rs 1.5 lakh.
