The body of a minor boy was found in an abandoned tank near a Madrasa in Nilapalli village under Ranpur police limits of Nayagarh district on Friday. Subsequently, the Nayagarh police launched an investigation into the matter and discovered that the minor was sodomised before being killed and dumped.
According to reports, investigations revealed that the boy was strangled to death by his schoolmates after being subjected to 'unnatural' sexual assault. Five juveniles have been apprehended and sent to a correctional home in connection with the crime.
