Angul, Jan. 21 -- Police on Sunday recovered the body of a minor girl near Dakhina Kali temple in Kangula village in the district. The deceased has been identified as Shrusti Maharana (12), daughter of Saroj Maharana of the village.
As per a complaint lodged by her father at the Angul police station, the minor girl was on her way to meet him when one Anam Dehury of the same village, allegedly kidnapped the girl and killed her.
Based on the complaint, Angul SP, SDPO and Inspector In-Charge of Angul police reached the spot along with a forensic team, recovered the body and initiated a probe into the incident.
