In yet another incident highlighting the deteriorating law and order situation in Bhubaneswar, a man was killed and another sustained serious injuries in a late-night shooting incident at Pitapalli under the jurisdiction of Infovalley Police Station in the city on Saturday.
The accused has been identified as Dipu who is a resident of Paniola area.
The injured has been admitted to a private hospital. He is undergoing treatment there in a critical condition.
As per reports, the shooting incident took place over a heated exchange of words. Accused Dipu lost his cool and opened fire following the altercation.
