Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- Once again normal life was hit following scorching heat wave conditions in Bhubaneswar as the mercury crossed the 43-degrees Celsius mark on Wednesday. As per IMD, Bhubaneswar recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43. 2 degrees by 2:30 pm.

Apart from Bhubaneswar, Jharsuguda recorded maximum temperature of 42.9, Chandbali 42.2 and Balasore recorded maximum temperature 41.4 by 2:30 pm.

No respite seems to be on the cards as the IMD has predicted further rise in the maximum temperature in different parts of Odisha.
