Bhubaneswar, Dec. 5 -- An MBA second-year student was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a private university in Barang, Cuttack, late Thursday night, triggering allegations of foul play from his family. The deceased, identified as Mrutyunjaya Bedanta from Khaira in Balasore district, had been residing in the university hostel.

According to the family, they received a call informing them of his death shortly after midnight. Mrutyunjaya had spoken to his father around 10 pm, a routine practice every night, before the unexpected call from university authorities came hours later.
