Bhubaneswar, Nov. 13 -- A group of masked miscreants looted several lakhs of rupees at gunpoint from a transport office in Barsuan under Lahuniapara police limits of Odisha's Sundargarh district late on Wednesday night. The incident took place when around five to six armed men stormed into the office and assaulted employees before escaping with the cash.

According to reports, the owner of the transport office informed police that the robbers arrived in two cars. After entering the office, the masked men reportedly beat up the staff at gunpoint and looted the money. They also damaged office property during the incident. Witnesses said the miscreants mainly spoke in Hindi.
