Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- Bhubaneswar: Maoists have allegedly killed a police sub-inspector after abducting him from Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Friday.

The deceased sub-inspector has been identified as Murali Tati. The Red Ultras have put up a poster in the area announcing about the murder of the police personnel.

Murali has caused irreparable loss to the Red Rebels by joining the District Reserve Guard (formed for anti-Maoists operations). He was sentenced to death following a trial in Praja Court, the poster read.

According to reports, Maoists had abducted Tati on April 21. He was posted in Jagdalpur and had gone home to Palnar village in Bijapur when he was kidnapped.
