Baripada, March 16 -- Police on Friday arrested a man for allegedly beating his wife to death in his house at Chaturisahi village under Kaptipada police limits of Mayurbhanj district.
As per reports, the incident happened on Thursday after a feud ensued between Hadia Khilar and his wife Suni. Police said Hadia attacked her with an wooden plank following which Suni died on the spot.
Hadia later dragged her body to another room of his house and fled the scene.
Police rushed to the spot, recovered the woman's body and sent it for post-mortem. They were also successful in arresting Hadia after a manhunt.
