Bhubaneswar, Feb. 21 -- Cops apprehended a man, aged 50 years, following an incident of celebratory gunfire during a wedding ceremony at Nagar village under Astaranga Police limits in Puri district, on Friday.
According to sources, the accused identified as Sushant Kumar Das allegedly discharged two gunshots into the sky, prompting the cops from Astaranga Police Station to take action. Das faced charges soon after the event, leading to his arrest. He was subsequently produced before a local court.
Astaranga police are yet to comment on the unwarranted situation.
