Bhubaneswar, Nov. 20 -- A new low-pressure system is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal on November 22, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated, with early assessments showing that the system may intensify as it travels across the sea.

However, the weather authorities have not issued any prediction so far on whether the disturbance will develop into a cyclone or which coastal areas may face a strong impact.
